So, your dental chairs need to be re-upholstered, where do you begin?

IDENTIFY-First, get the brand and model designation from your chairs or stools. Many times, a patient chair will have a tag either under the chair (raise it to make it easier to look underneath the seat) or on the base. Stools, many times, will have some identification tag under the seat cushion or on the frame. Once you know this, you can go to the Photo Gallery page and click on dental chairs to see examples of chairs we have re-upholstered (all of them have been re-upholstered by Vinyl Crafters).

PHOTOS-Modern technology has brought us to the point where chair identification is as simple as taking a few digital photos and attaching them in an email to us. If you do this, please remove any obstructions like headrest covers from the chair and try to get as much of the complete chair into the photo. It helps to correctly identify a chair when all the details can be seen. Photos taken from the back and slightly to one side provide us with even more helpful detail. The same applies to doctor and assistant stools. The photo examples in our scrolling slideshow above are what you should be trying to accomplish.

CONTACT-Next, call us at our toll free number or email us using the form on the Contact page. If you call, you’ll speak with Rich who will ask you for your chair information and will give you pricing as well as an idea of how long it should take for the work to be completed.

If your chairs were made in the last twenty or so years, chances are they have removable upholstery and new cushions and pads can be sent for your installation.  You can choose colors of vinyls  at the bottom of this page, or actual vinyl swatches can be sent to you.

At this point, a written quotation (or, if you’re settled on the color and pricing, an invoice) can be emailed or faxed to your office for an authorized approval signature. Then, once the appropriate payment amount has been received, work can begin. We accept checks and all major credit cards.

All work requires a certain amount of preliminary shop work (cutting and sewing etc.) so please allow up to a few weeks lead time depending on the work load we are experiencing at the time.
